HEY THERE! I'M LYDIA!
I am so glad you found this little corner of the world!
So a little bit about me. First and foremost I am a wife and mother, these roles are what make me who I am today. Becoming a mother has been the most transformative experience and has left me forever changed. I never saw myself being a stay at home Mom, but the moment we had our first son, I knew with every fiber of my being I was being called to stay home. Before becoming a Mom, I was a special education teacher and that is how I met my now husband. Talk about motherhood changing you, we both left the education field, and now I desire to homeschool, spend every moment with my children and soak up this magical time in my life. Thats what lead me here... to photography and working in the birth world.
Photography has always been a passion of mine, from carrying around the yearbook camera at sporting events in high school to being the friend behind the camera snapping just one more photo to capture the moment. But it was after becoming a mother I found myself clinging to every second, wanting to capture every new "first" and milestone. Man, if I could bottle it all up I would. But we know we cant, so the next best thing is reliving those precious moments through photos, that tell the story of your life. I absolutely adore getting to help other Mamas capture the true essence of this season of life. We know just how fast it goes, and getting to work with families while capturing the sweetest little toes and cheesy grins, brings me so much JOY!

Lastly, but most importantly. I love the Lord! He is the steady ground on which I stand. My faith has always been the largest pillar of my life, but after becoming a Mother, it is him who I turn to daily for patience, grace and wisdom! I love how perfectly he designed Motherhood, but Mamas we know we can not do it without him! He just continues to amaze and humble me with his plans!

A FEW OF MY FAVORITE THINGS
1. Of course My husband!
He is truly my absolute best friend! He came into my life at the most unexpected time and was everything I never knew I needed. He is the most hands on father, and prioritizes his family so beautifully! I have always admired his honesty and how deeply he loves! I feel so lucky to call him mine! He is also an amazing cook, and if you know me... well you know that is still a work in progress.
2. Being A Mother & Wife
Being a Mama has been everything I have ever prayed for and more. I truly delight in it! I love watching these boys grow and become who God designed them to be. Fostering these sweet souls is truly my greatest honor! The Lord continues to refine my heart and I am so thankful for his plans! This life is nothing like I imagined it and better than I could have ever dreamed of.
3. I love all things Pregnancy & Birth
I have never felt so passionate about something, as I do birth. I aspire to help support women in reclaiming their inner strength and bringing forth the mother they were destined to be. Its been too long that the system has dictated what we as women know how to do!
WE WERE MADE FOR THIS!
I love supporting and being around women during pregnancy and labor. Women everywhere are reclaiming birth and I'm proud to play a part!
4. My Bonus Son!
I have the great privilege of not only getting to be a Boy Mom to two under two, but I have the sweetest Bonus son! I met him when he was four years old! He opened my heart and helped me grow into the Mother I am today! He is the greatest big brother in the world, and I truly mean it when I say, he has a super special heart! He is genuine and kind and I am honored to get to be a part of his story.
A little more about the girl behind the lens
I love singing and performing. I don't get to do it much in this phase of life, except for at church on Sundays. But man, my whole high school and college career was spent in the choir room and on stage in musicals and dancing! I actually got to travel to China in college and tour for 10 days with our a capella choir! I still spend every day singing to my kids and dancing in the kitchen! We have at least two dance parties a day in our house!
